Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta – Overnight in Can Tho (Meal: Lunch)

At 7:30 AM, depart from Ho Chi Minh City and drive for about 1.5 hours to My Tho town. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful landscapes, including green rice fields, the peaceful Vam Co Dong River, and the bustling Long An town. Your first stop will be at the Mekong Rest Stop, where you can relax and explore the bonsai garden.

Upon arrival in My Tho, visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest and one of the oldest pagodas in Southern Vietnam. Its architecture is influenced by a mix of Vietnamese, Khmer, and European styles, making it a unique landmark in the Mekong Delta.

Next, head to the pier and board a motorized boat for a leisurely cruise along the Tien River. Enjoy the fresh air as you pass by the stilt houses, floating fishing farms, and the four islands (Dragon, Phoenix, Tortoise, and Unicorn).

After crossing the Rach Mieu Bridge, disembark at Thoi Son Islet on Phoenix Island. Take a relaxing walk through the village paths, visit local homes and orchards, and sample seasonal fruits while listening to traditional Southern folk music.

Continue your journey with a visit to a honey bee farm, where you can taste honey tea with lemon, known for its health benefits. For the adventurous, there is also a python farm where you can take photos with pythons.

Afterward, enjoy a ride in a hand-rowed sampan through the creeks, where you can admire the iconic water coconut trees that are characteristic of the Delta region.

Return to the motorized boat and cruise to Ben Tre province. Visit a coconut candy workshop and learn how these delicious treats are made by hand.

Enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant before cruising to Unicorn Island to visit a crocodile farm and explore the remains of the Coconut Belief.

Return to the dock and proceed to Can Tho. After a 2-hour drive, you will arrive in Can Tho. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Can Tho.

Day 2: Can Tho City – Cai Rang Floating Market – Con Dao Island (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

After breakfast at your hotel, at 7:00 AM, transfer to Ninh Kieu Wharf. On the way, you’ll pass by the morning street market, where you can see a variety of homemade products like fruits, vegetables, and cakes being sold by local vendors.

Board a motorized boat for a cruise to the bustling Cai Rang floating market, one of the largest and most famous floating markets in Southern Vietnam. You will be amazed by the unique trading methods used on the water.

After exploring the floating market, visit a local place where they make rice vermicelli noodles and stroll through the orchard garden. You can also try crossing the bamboo bridge, which is made from a single bamboo tree.

Cruise back to Ninh Kieu Wharf and stop for lunch.

After lunch, transfer to Can Tho Airport for your flight to Con Dao (14:20 – 15:20). End of service.

At 08:00 AM, pick up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for Cai Be. Along the way, stop in Tan An town to take photos of the picturesque flat rice fields.

Upon arrival in Cai Be, embark on a motorboat cruise along the river, passing through small villages where you can explore orchards and fruit plantations.

Continue cruising towards Vinh Long, navigating through a network of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family-run business where you’ll learn how traditional coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made.

Arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village, also known as the “green pearl” of Vinh Long, and immerse yourself in nature. Participate in a cooking class with a local chef, then enjoy the meal you’ve prepared for lunch.

Afterward, experience kayaking along the canals—a unique way to explore the Mekong Delta.

Return to the dock and drive for approximately two hours to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho and enjoy some leisure time in the evening. Overnight stay in Can Tho.

Day 2: Can Tho City – Cai Rang Floating Market – Con Dao Island (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

At 05:00 AM, board a motorized boat to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market. Along the way, observe the lively activities on the Can Tho riverbanks, where you’ll see local people fishing and transporting goods via the waterway.

As you approach the Cai Rang floating market, you will witness traditional methods of trading using “offering poles” to exchange goods from boat to boat.

Enjoy a breakfast on the boat, featuring Hu Tieu (Vietnamese noodle soup) and a cup of milk coffee while soaking in the sights of the market.

After exploring the market, visit a local workshop where rice vermicelli noodles are made, and take a stroll through the orchard garden. Challenge yourself to cross a unique bamboo bridge built from a single bamboo tree.

At 08:30 AM, return to Ninh Kieu Wharf and visit Can Tho Market, where you can try some local specialties (at your own expense).

Transfer to Cai Son village to witness the rural activities of the local people. Visit a fishing farm and observe local fishing techniques.

Next, participate in a traditional cake-making class and enjoy tasting the cakes you’ve made.

Continue exploring the village along the river, where you may catch glimpses of rural life and enjoy fresh seasonal fruits in an orchard garden, providing a peaceful and relaxing experience.
