Mekong Delta One Day Tour by Road
We provide hotel pickup and drop-off service in selected areas of District 1 and District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
7:45 – 8:00 am: Meet our tour guide at your hotel and depart from Ho Chi Minh City.
10:00 am: Arrive in My Tho town and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest and largest pagoda in Southern Vietnam. This unique religious site combines Vietnamese, Khmer, and European architectural influences.
Afterward, transfer to the pier and board a motorboat for a scenic cruise along the Tien River. Enjoy the fresh breeze and observe the peaceful daily life of local people as you pass stilt houses, floating fish farms, and the four famous islets – Dragon, Phoenix, Tortoise, and Unicorn.
Crossing the Rach Mieu Bridge, we disembark at Thoi Son Islet (Phoenix Island). Stroll along village paths, visit local homes and orchards, and taste seasonal fruits while enjoying live Southern folk music.
Continue with a stop at a honeybee farm, where you’ll sample fresh honey tea with lemon – a healthy local specialty. Then, experience a hand-rowed sampan ride through the shady water coconut creeks, an iconic symbol of the Delta.
Reboard the motorboat and head to Ben Tre Province to visit a coconut candy workshop, where you can watch the traditional process of making sweet treats by hand.
Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a riverside restaurant.
After lunch, we cruise to Unicorn Island, where you’ll visit a crocodile farm and learn about the historic Coconut Religion.
2:30 pm: Cruise back to the pier and return to Ho Chi Minh City.
5:00 pm: Arrive back in the city and drop-off at your hotel. End of services.
