Mekong Delta tour 3 days 2 nights

Day 1: Phu Quoc Island – Ha Tien – Chau Doc

At 11.30am, pick up at your hotel in Phu Quoc and transfer to the ferry for boarding the express boat to Ha Tien (13.00 – 14.20). Meeting your tour guide and driver, transfer to Chau Doc. Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 2: Chau Doc – Sam Mountain – floating village – Tra Su Cajuput Forest – Long Xuyen – Can Tho (Meals: Breakfast, lunch)

Having breakfast at the hotel. At 07.00am, driven to Sam Mountain a particular symbol of Chau Doc town to visit Xu Lady temple and Cave Pagoda.

Then take a nice boat trip through the floating village to visit a fish farm to see how the Mekong Delta people raise fish in their floating houses. Visit the Cham minority with their traditional weaving village, followed by a local Islamic Mosque.

Transfer to Tra Su cajuput forest, which is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Take a boat trip into the forest, you will immediately feel like you are harmonizing with nature because of all of the impressive pictures of cajuputs, the fragrance of the flowers and the music-like noise of birds, insects and animals making people relaxed and comfortable. From the observation post, you can overlook the forest with an area of nearly 900 ha, home of many birds and animals, including some rare ones.

After that, proceed to Can Tho city. En route, stopover at Long Xuyen to see crocodile farm.

Continue your trip to Can Tho and visit Binh Thuy ancient house village on the way.

Optional: Overnight at homestay in Can Tho (Meal: dinner)

Arrive to Can Tho city. Transfer to a village in Cai Rang district by motorize boat, you will meet a friendly local farmer’s house where you will stay the night at their house. In the late afternoon, wandering around the village to see orchard garden or chatting with local people to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta resident.

Having dinner with family and enjoy some of kind traditional local cuisines. Overnight at farmer’s house.

Day 3: Can Tho city – Cai Rang floating market – Ho Chi Minh city (Meals: Breakfast, lunch)

After having breakfast at the hotel, the day’s activities commence. At 6:00 AM, there will be a transfer to Ninh Kieu wharf. During this transfer, tourists will get the opportunity to witness the vibrant morning street market, where various homemade products like fruits, vegetables, and cakes are sold along the route leading to the wharf.

The journey continues with a river cruise to the bustling Cai Rang floating market, recognized as one of the largest floating markets in Southern Vietnam. Exploring the unique “way of doing business” within this floating market is sure to captivate visitors, leaving a lasting impression.

Subsequently, the itinerary includes a transfer to Cai Son village, where one can meander along village paths. This provides an insight into the rural activities of the local population as you pass by canals, rice paddies, and orchards. A notable stop is at Mr. Ba Cong’s orchard, where visitors can stroll through the garden, relish in fruits, sip tea, and engage in conversations with the locals, gaining a glimpse into the lives of the Mekong residents. A delectable lunch will be served in the orchard garden, followed by a leisurely continuation through the village, offering glimpses of local rural activities along the riverside. This leg of the journey imparts a sense of relaxation amidst the serene and tranquil garden surroundings.

By 14:00, the tour proceeds towards Ho Chi Minh City. The journey concludes around 17:30, as you arrive at the city center, where you will be conveniently dropped off at your hotel. This marks the end of the tour’s services.
