Depart at 8.00am – Finish at 15.30:

7:45 – 8:00 am: Your Mekong Delta Tour guide will greet you at your hotel lobby and transfer you by car to Bach Dang Pier.

8:15 am: The boat sets off, leaving the bustle of Saigon behind as you glide through narrow waterways and into the lush, green tributaries of the Mekong Delta. A light breakfast of pastries or sandwiches, fresh tropical fruits, and traditional Vietnamese iced coffee (ca phe sua da) will be served while your guide shares stories about local customs and river life.

9:15 am: Stop at Mr. Binh’s flourishing fruit orchard. In this peaceful garden, you’ll gain insight into age-old cultivation practices and enjoy the special experience of picking and tasting freshly ripened fruits straight from the trees.

10:00 am: Arrive at the picturesque expanse of the Mekong Delta, famously known as the “Nine Dragons” where nine branches split from the main river. Drift into the winding canals of Thu Thua, shaded by a leafy canopy, and take in the serene beauty of the waterways.

10:30 am: Explore a lively riverside market brimming with tropical produce, exotic fish, and local specialties. A fantastic spot for photos!

11:00 am: Journey deeper into the Thu Thua canals, where you’ll enjoy a short traditional rowboat ride (about 10 minutes) through coconut groves. Though brief, this tranquil excursion offers a unique perspective on the Delta’s charm. Continue to a quaint Mekong village and visit a rustic farmhouse to sample fresh coconuts and Mekong whisky.

Take a leisurely walk along the riverbank to a traditional Vietnamese home, where three generations live together under one roof.

12:30 pm: Visit a remarkable pagoda that serves not only as a spiritual sanctuary for local worshippers but also as an orphanage run by Buddhist monks.

1:00 pm: Discover the vibrant colors and architecture of a Cao Dai temple – a true cultural highlight of the tour.

1:30 pm: Savor a traditional Mekong Delta lunch at a riverside farm stay.

2:15 pm: Reboard the speedboat and begin the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.

3:30 pm: Return to Bach Dang Pier, then transfer by car back to your hotel.
